I have worked in the health sector for over thirty years, working with clients to improve their physical health. My training and knowledge helped a great many clients bring about positive changes in their lives.

However, this change was often not lasting. I was missing a vital part of the puzzle! I had always considered my nutrition to be pretty good, as a runner, I was invested in fueling my body with healthy food, most of the time...

I constantly had cravings for sweet foods like chocolate and ice cream regularly and loved bread and pasta. Pastries like croissants were my nemesis! I would experience energy crashes throughout the day and struggled to lose the extra kilos that were starting to creep on, despite running regularly.  It wasn’t until I attended a Low Carb Down Under conference that I really woke up to how dysfunctional my diet really was.

Due to some recent gut health issues experienced by my husband, and after learning about the toxic effects of some plant foods on his particular issue, we decided to try a mostly animal-based way of eating for a month. He resolved his gut issues within a few weeks, in addition, his rheumatoid arthritis and muscle pain symptoms also disappeared. This was a revelation! We both also lost body fat and increased our energy levels significantly. I now feel stronger and more energetic than I did at the peak of my marathon training. My cravings have diminished almost entirely, I can really connect with how various foods affect my body, mind and energy levels so I make my food choices based on how I want my body to feel instead of giving in to the temporary desires of the mind.

This realisation has driven my passion and kickstarted the journey to help others discover the healing properties of this way of eating and find their own freedom from disease and discomfort.
